Usually shrubs or trees. The stem is tender and the thorn is hard. Leaves often fall in dormancy. Radiation is more symmetrical, there are white, pink, chrysanthemum and other multi-color. The fruit is fleshy and globular. There are about 20 species in 2 series of the whole genus: small flowers and leaves, 1.5cm; large flowers and leaves, 8cm.
