The leaves of dandelion are oblanceolate, about 4-20cm long and 1-5cm wide, while the leaves of Quaker are long oval or wide linear, about 2.5-13cm long and 1-4.5cm wide. So in contrast, the leaves of yellow quail are slightly smaller than those of dandelion.
The inflorescence of dandelion is capitate, the involucre is bell shaped, light green, 12-14mm long, with 2-3 layers of bracts. In addition to most of the flower heads, a few flower branches have umbels at the top. Its involucre is cylindrical, 4-5mm long, with 4 bracts.
The fruit of dandelion is inverted egg shaped lanceolate, dark brown, 4-5mm in length and 1-1.5mm in width. The fruit of yellow quail is spindle shaped, brown or reddish brown, with a length of 1.5-2mm. Therefore, the fruit of yellow quail is smaller than that of dandelion.
