The flower number of Cotoneaster is large, about 5-21, which is cyme, pedicel is about 4-6mm, bracts are linear, calyx tube is bell shaped, sepals are triangle, petals are relatively flat, nearly round, color is white. However, there are 1-2 flowers, nearly sessile, calyx tube and sepal are similar to the former. The petals are upright, obovate and pink.
Cotyledons are ovate or wide ovate, about 2-4cm long and 1.5-3cm wide. The apex is sharp or blunt, the base is round or wide cuneiform, with no hair on the top and villi on the bottom, which will fall off later, and the stipules are linear. The leaves of cotyledons of platyphylla are nearly round or wide elliptic, which are much smaller than the former, about 5-14mm long, 4-9mm wide, and the stipules are subulate.
