The pinnately compound leaves of Qian Qian wood sprout from the top of the tuber. The leaflets are fleshy and have short petioles. The leaves are very tough and dense green. The leaflets are opposite or nearly opposite on the leaf axis. Each leaf axis has 6 to 10 pairs of opposite or nearly opposite leaflets. The leaves are oval, thick leathery and metallic.
Qianqiandou has 1 to 2 feathery compound leaves. The leaves are alternate, with odd number of feathery compound leaves. The leaflets are round, the base is heart-shaped, the edge is serrulate, and the leaf surface is green.
The flower bracts are green and boat shaped. The inflorescences of fleshy ears are short.
The corymb of pecuniary pocket is in the form of a panicle.
