The leaves in the middle of Mikania micrantha are triangular or ovate, 4 to 13 cm long and 2 to 9 cm wide. The base is heart-shaped, the apex of the leaves is gradually sharp, the edge has several coarse teeth or shallow wavy round serrations, and both sides of the leaves are hairless.
The leaves in the middle of chamomile are ovate, oval or wide ovate, about 2 to 5cm long and about 1.5 to 4.5cm wide. There are two pinnatifid or one full split on the leaves. The leaves at the top or the leaves at the bottom of the inflorescence are 3-lobed or undivided. Both sides of the leaves are of the same color, and the leaves are sparse with small villi.
The flower heads of Mikania micrantha are numerous and often arranged into compound corymbs at the branch ends. The peduncles are gradually slender and the length of the flower heads is 4.5 to 6 mm. They contain small flowers with white corolla.
Inflorescence of chamomile, 10-15 mm in diameter, usually arranged in loose or slightly dense corymbose at the top of stem and branch, petals ovate, long elliptic or oblanceolate, round at the top, white or light brown membranous, ligulate flower yellow, tongue oval 5-7.5 mm in length. The flowers are white or yellow brown.
