However, the leaves of passion fruit are papery, the base is wedge-shaped or heart-shaped, palmately with 3 deep fissures, the middle lobe is ovate, and the two lobes are ovate oblong.
The flower color of Siraitia grosvenorii is yellow with black glandular spots. However, the flower base of passion fruit is light green, the middle is purple, the top is white, and the flower color and shape are totally different.
The fruits of Siraitia grosvenorii are oblong or spherical, with yellow brown villi and black gland scales at the initial stage. When they are old, they will fall off and have a circle of villi at the fruit stem. The peel is very thin and brittle after drying. The passion fruit is ovoid, the shell is hard, and the pulp is yellow juice.
