The leaves are sparse or leafless, the basal leaves are rosette like, long obovate, the top of the leaves is slightly blunt, the edge has sparse fine teeth or close to the whole edge, the stem leaves are long ovate or ovate, the top of the leaves gradually become sharp, the base is cuneiform or gradually round, the roundness has fine serrations, the leaves are sessile.
The petiole of shepherd's purse is 5 to 40 mm long, the cauline leaves are narrow lanceolate or lanceolate, 5 to 6.5 mm long, 2 to 15 mm wide, and the base is arrow shaped.
There are 25 to 90 flowers in the inflorescence of Lepidium raceme, which are dense and corymbose. The petals are yellow. After anthesis, they turn white and are inverted cuneiform. They grow up to about 2 mm, and the top is sunken.
