The flower of dandelion is white, and the involucre has 2-3 layers. And the color of cauliflower is yellow, the involucral bracts are relatively small.
The fruit of dandelion is inverted egg lanceolate, dark brown in color, 4-5mm in length and 1-1.5mm in width. However, the fruit of Sophora flavescens is oblong with a length of 3-4mm. Therefore, the dandelion fruit is slightly larger than the bitter vegetable fruit.
