Evergreen purple back is native to Mexico and the West Indies.
It likes warm and humid climate, suitable for growing in the environment with temperature of 15-25 ℃. It likes light and bears shade, and is afraid of hot sun. It requires fertile and water retaining soil.
The purple back Rohdea japonica basin soil should be mixed with 2 parts of tangmud and 1 part of peat.
Due to its strong adaptability and extensive management, it should be given sufficient light except for shade or half shade in May October.
Watering should be wet rather than dry, but not too wet or water, otherwise the roots will rot after a long time; when the weather is dry, spray water frequently to keep the growing environment with high air humidity.

Pot sowing is often used in April and grows rapidly after emergence. When the seedlings grow to inch, they should be transplanted in time, and they will grow into full plants in the autumn of that year.
