The main methods of propagation are sowing, cutting and branch. Sowing: in spring and autumn sowing, the substrate is first watered and then sown. When the temperature was 22 ℃, the seedlings appeared about 15 days, and two true leaves could be transplanted. Cuttage: cut strong branches in spring, keep 2 to 4 leaves and no growth point. The length of the branch is 5-6cm, and the cutting mouth is under the node, and it is inserted with the cutting. Ramets: in spring and autumn, the root should not be damaged, but can be repaired together.

Seeding method

Sowing can be carried out in late April in spring or early September in autumn. After deep turning and leveling of the seedling bed in the open field, the seeds can be evenly sown after the water has penetrated into the ground.

When sowing, ensure to sow about one thousand seeds per square meter, control the temperature at 22 ℃ or so, and seedling can be produced in 13 to 15 days.

When the seedlings grow two true leaves, they can be transplanted.

Ramet method

Echinacea is a perennial herb. For the perennial mother plant, it can be propagated in spring and autumn.

Take out the root of the mother plant from the ground, pay attention not to damage the new root, remove part of the soil, remove the old root and the sick root.

The mother plant was isolated from the rhizome with a knife, and divided into several plants on average, with 4-5 apical buds on each plant, and then planted into the prepared substrate.

Cutting method

Large parent plants shall be prepared for cuttage seedling raising, which shall be moved into the greenhouse in winter for maintenance, and robust branches shall be taken in spring, with 2 to 4 true leaves and no growth point reserved.

The length of the branch should be controlled at 5-6cm, and the cutting opening should be under the node and inserted with the cutting.

The cutting depth is one-third to one-half of the cutting length, and the cutting seedbed cannot be too wet, but the air humidity of the surrounding environment should be high, and the surrounding environment temperature should be controlled at 22 ℃, 20-30 days can take root.

Colonization

The seedlings of Echinacea had three branches, and were planted when the height was about 10 cm.

The potted plant uses 15 × 13cm nutrition bowl, each potted plant is 1 plant, the potted soil is 1 /3 of agricultural fertilizer, garden soil and fine sand respectively, mixed and screened.

After the seedlings are planted, the potting soil shall be compacted, watered sufficiently, put in the shade, and moved to the sunshine place 7-10 days later for normal growth.
