Bajiaowu is a perennial herb, with a height of about 70cm and a diameter of about 1.2cm. The plant is relatively thin. At the beginning of its life, it is densely distributed with light yellow and weak hairs, and then the hairs fall off.
The leaves are arranged in a lotus shaped, kidney shaped shape, about 9 to 13 cm in length and 11 to 22 cm in width. The texture is relatively thick. The upper color is green, the lower color is light green, with a long handle, about 15 to 25 cm in length.
Its flowers are bright yellow in color, and the upper tongue is oblong or spoon shaped, about 15 to 22 mm in length and about 3 to 4 mm in width, arranged in corymbs. There are 12 to 14 involucral bracts, which are distributed in two layers, showing oblong shape, gradually becoming sharp at the upper end and small hairs on the back. The flowering and fruiting period is from August to march of the second year.
