Cutting propagation is generally carried out with branches with green leaves. It can be carried out in Northern Greenhouse all year round or in autumn. Generally, family breeding can be carried out in July and August.
When cutting, select the mature and full branches as the material. Two or three sections are the best for each cutting. The lower cut is 1cm away from the internode, and the upper cut should be 2cm above the top bud, which is the easiest way to root. If the material is less, one section can be cut as the cutting, but the rooting is slower.
Before cutting, the cuttings should be treated with root promoting, and the lower part of the cuttings should be soaked with 3000 to 10000 times solution of indobutyric acid for 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
The cutting medium can be obtained by mixing 20-30% of burning soil with 7-80% of loose and fertile garden soil or paddy soil.
When cutting, keep half of the cuttings to one leaf, and cut all the tendrils, so as to save nutrients.
When cutting, the lower part of the cuttings should be inserted into the soil to take root. The depth of the cuttings should be about two-thirds of the length of the cuttings, and the upper part of the cuttings should be left with a bud to germinate and grow branches.
After inserting, drain the nutrition bag on the seedbed and water it immediately. The first watering must be done thoroughly, and then water it to keep it moist according to the weather conditions.
After 30 days, the seedling rate was over 85%.
After cutting, the humidity of the seedbed shall be maintained, and the seedlings shall be raised in a small arch shed or a large shed with plastic film, and the water shall be drenched every day to maintain the humidity.
In winter and early spring, pay attention to the cold resistance of the seedbed. If the seedlings are raised in a small arch shed or a large shed with plastic film to prevent the cold, the plastic film shall be covered for the rest of the time except for the heat dissipation in sunny days.
