The leaves of Solanum nigrum are basal and have long stalks. The two sides of the leaves are not equal. The outline is wide ovate, 6-13cm long and 4.8cm-8.5cm wide. The apex gradually becomes sharp, the base is slightly slanted, the base is heart-shaped or deep heart-shaped. The edges of the leaves have triangular heavy serrations of different sizes, sometimes in the shape of notches. The leaves are scattered with short hairs on the top and light green below.

The top of the leaves is pointed or gradually sharpened, the base is tapered and gradually narrow, the upper part of the leaves is green, and the lower part becomes purple when dried.
