The plant of lilac is relatively large, and the root is relatively strong. We should choose a deep pottery basin, square or round. The best color of the basin is light blue or light yellow, which is more suitable for white and Purple Lilac.
Choose healthy lilac seedlings and plant them in pots from February to March. Before planting, trim the root system and keep more fibrous roots. Planting is to ensure that the root system stretches, the soil is compacted and the soil and the root are closely combined. Then pour it through water.
The adaptability of lilac is very strong, and the maintenance method is relatively extensive. Usually, as long as you pay attention to timely weeding, the basin soil will be watered when it is dry, and do not accumulate water, you can grow normally. As for the frequency of watering, there is no strict requirement. When it is dry, it will be watered.
Lilac like warm and humid environment, originated in the equatorial rainforest climate, has a certain cold resistance. The optimum growth temperature is 15 ~ 20 ℃, when the temperature is lower than 3 ℃, the plants will die of frostbite.
Cloves like to have plenty of sunshine, a little shade tolerance, so pay attention to the plant in a sunny place to conserve.
Lilac needs to change the basin every 2-3 years. Take the plant out of the basin, trim the root system, cut off the old root, and replace it with a new culture soil to promote the growth of the new root.
Before the clove sprouts in the middle of March every year, it should be pruned to cut off the over dense, thin, disease and insect branches, and cut off the vigorous branches. After defoliation, it can also be pruned once to keep the crown round and beautiful, which is conducive to growth and flowering in the next year.
In July, September and October of each year, weeds around cloves should be removed in time, but do not use a hoe to turn over to hurt the roots, and directly use hands to pull up weeds.
After 3-4 years of planting, clove branches are aging, and the parts on the ground should be strongly pruned, i.e. cut them 30 cm from the ground, and strong branches will soon grow after cutting, so that the crown will be full, and the next year will be full of flowers.
