From September to April and may of the next year is the growth period of chuanqianjingtian, which should be given sufficient sunlight. If the sunlight is insufficient, the plant will grow in vain, the distance between the leaves will be lengthened, the plant type will be loose, and the red of the leaf edge will also be decreased, which will make the plant very ugly. The plants growing in the sunny place are short and strong, and the arrangement between the stem nodes is compact.
During the growing period, the soil should be kept moist to avoid ponding, otherwise the root and base of the plant will rot. Every 15 days or so, apply the thinned liquid fertilizer to promote the growth of the plant.
Put it in the sunlight in winter. If it can maintain above 10 ℃, continue watering and apply some fertilizer as appropriate to keep the plant growing; if it can't maintain such a high temperature, control watering, make the plant dormant, and also can withstand the low temperature of about 5 ℃. In summer, the growth of the plant is slow or completely stopped in high temperature. It can be placed in a well ventilated place for good maintenance, with proper shading, to avoid the sun exposure, stop fertilization, control watering, and do not rain for a long time, so as to prevent the plant from rotting.
In order to keep the beautiful shape of the plant, we should often prune and cut the disordered branches. When the plant growth is too crowded, the pot can be changed in spring or autumn. The pot should be selected according to the size of the plant. Too large or too small pot is not conducive to its growth. In addition, the beauty of flowerpots should be considered.
The potting soil of chuanqianjingtian is required to be loose and fertile, with good drainage and air permeability. It can be planted with rotten leaf soil, garden soil, coarse sand or vermiculite mixed soil.
