The bamboo can be cutted and propagated, which is best in April to October in spring or September to October in autumn. The survival rate is relatively high under the suitable temperature environment. The best temperature for cutting is about 15-25 ℃. 1. Select stem node: select a robust stem node from the top of the plant, usually 2-3 stem nodes as a section of cuttings, with a length of about 20cm.
2. Pruning treatment: use the sterilized scissors to cut off the selected stem nodes. Each segment should have small leaves on the top, the leaves at the bottom can be cut off, and the long air roots on the cuttings should also be cut off. After trimming, put it in a half shade and ventilated place, and dry the cut.
3. Cutting: prepare suitable substrate, which can be prepared by yourself with coarse sand, peat soil or rotten leaf soil. Insert the cuttings into half or two-thirds of the depth and take root in about a month.
