When raising sparrow flowers, we need to use relatively soft and breathable soil. At ordinary times, it should be maintained in an environment with sufficient light and humidity between 50-70%. In winter, keep warm and keep the temperature below 8 ℃. When the light is strong in summer, shade is needed.

Humidity, temperature and light

The relative humidity of air is required to be between 50% and 70%. If it is too low, the upper leaves will be dull and the lower leaves will be yellow.

Sparrow flowers are afraid of severe cold, so when the ambient temperature is lower than 8 ℃, they will stop growing.

Sparrow flower has a strong adaptability to light. In the process of breeding, it should be moved to a place with shade (if the temperature is not too low) outside for a period of time after being cured in a place with bright light indoors. This alternative maintenance is the best way

Reproduction method

1. Banding

Select a robust branch, from about 15-30 cm below the top tip, to just peel off the depth of the epidermis, the width of the wound is 1 cm, the bark is peeled off a circle. Take a piece of film 5-8cm wide and 10-20cm long, and spread some wet soil on it. The soil is close to the branches. Wrap around the stripped place, and tie up the upper and lower ends of the film, so as to make the middle bulge slightly. Rooting time for four to six weeks, after cutting the branches and roots together, it becomes a new plant.

2. Cutting

When cutting, from the late spring to the early autumn when the plants grow vigorously, the thick branches of the year are cut as cuttings. Cut off the branches, cut off the most robust parts, cut out a 5-15 cm long section, with more than three leaf nodes on one section. When cutting the cuttings, attention shall be paid to: the upper cut shall be flat cut about 1cm above the last leaf node, and the lower cut shall be inclined cut about 0.5cm below the lowest leaf node, and the upper and lower cuts shall be smooth. In early spring after warming, can carry on the hard branch cutting, cutting method can refer to the tender branch cutting.
