Loquat seeds can be sown immediately after ripening from April to May. Loquat seeds are sown on demand according to the actual needs. In the future, the seedlings can be grafted into trees in situ, which is conducive to early flowering and bearing. The seeds should be buried just in time, and should not be too deep in the soil. After sowing, strengthen management, control the ambient temperature between 20-25 ℃, keep the soil moist and ventilated. At the same time, straw and other mulch were used for proper shade treatment to reduce the evaporation of water and promote the germination of loquat seeds in the dark. When loquat seeds germinate new buds, uncover straw and other mulch, so that seedlings can carry out photosynthesis, at the same time, avoid direct light.

The grafting of loquat is suitable in the middle of February. In general, seedlings are used as rootstock for cutting and grafting. The rootstock should be slightly thicker than the scion, and cut horizontally about 5-8 cm from the ground to prepare for grafting. The 1-2-year-old robust loquat branches with hanging fruit were selected as scions, the top buds and 2 side leaves were reserved, and other leaves were removed. The scions were inserted into rootstocks and then bound with plastic strips for protection. The method has the advantages of high survival rate, good growth and fast fruit setting.
