Seed propagation: it can be carried out in August. Generally in the open seedbed. Sowing as you pick. Cover the straw, pay attention to shade and keep the substrate moist. In winter, cover with plastic film to prevent freezing.
Cuttage Propagation: it can be carried out in spring and autumn. In the middle of March, 1-year-old thick dormant branches were selected as cuttings, while in July August, semi lignified green branches were selected as cuttings. The ears should be heeled and shaded. The best transplantation was in March.
During the growing period, pruning and coring should be done to the formed plants to prevent the branches and leaves from growing excessively, and to keep the graceful posture of Podocarpus. When changing pots, we should pay attention to cutting off too many roots and rotten fibrous roots, and at the same time cutting off too many dense branches and too long branches.
