The sand soil with good drainage and air permeability is suitable for cultivation, so as to facilitate the removal of excess water and the growth of plant roots; it can be prepared with 1 /3 of rotten leaf soil, sand soil and garden soil respectively. Every 1-2 years, the old root can be cut off.
The optimum growth temperature of Prince Hei is 15 ~ 25 ℃. When the temperature is below 5 ℃, the plants stop growing and appear slight frostbite. When the temperature is below 0 ℃, the water in the leaves freezes and the cells become necrotic. In winter and summer, if the temperature is too high or too low, the plants will stop growing, so the watering should be stopped temporarily, and the watering frequency should be restored after the temperature is restored. Summer high temperature is to pay attention to ventilation, avoid long-term exposure.
Prince Hei has a certain amount of water in his body, so excessive watering or long-term humid environment is easy to cause rot. In order to avoid root water deposition, it is better to use basin with drainage holes at the bottom. When new planters choose red pottery basin with good air permeability, glass container has poor heat absorption and air permeability.
The more abundant light, the greater the temperature difference between day and night, the darker and brighter the color of leaves.
If the temperature allows, it is better to put it outside for maintenance to ensure sufficient light. Insufficient light or too much water in the soil can easily lead to excessive growth. The whole plant will show light green or dark green. The leaves are sparse and the distance between them is elongated, which will seriously affect the ornamental, and even die due to the limited photosynthesis.
Usually remove the dried ones in time to avoid bacteria.
When the plant grows in vain, it can also be shaped by pruning the top branches and leaves to control the height of the plant, so as to maintain the beauty of the plant type. The top part of the cut can be inserted into the basin soil of sand and moisture to take root and become a new plant after drying the wound. The stem and leaves at the bottom can germinate more lateral buds.
Prince Hei has a strong growth momentum, so the management can be a little more extensive.
During summer dormancy period, water should be controlled to avoid rotten roots caused by excessive soil moisture. In winter, due to less light, the leaves will turn green, especially the newly grown leaves, which are more obvious. It is not necessary to care about it. When spring comes, the leaves will gradually turn black purple with the increase of light.
