Blackgrass is an annual herb, 35-60 cm tall. Flowering from June to July, it has bright green leaves with lace, white or blue flowers, surrounded by linear leaves called bracts. The fruit stage is August, and the fruit of black seeded grass is a spherical capsule. It is a relatively cold resistant, sunny and loose fertile soil, native to the Mediterranean region. Black grass is mainly planted in North American Gardens.
