Several factors can cause rubber fig leaves to lose their shine:
Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe leaves gently. For stubborn dust, mix lukewarm water with a drop of mild dish soap. Avoid leaf shine products, as they can clog pores.
Increase humidity by misting leaves regularly, placing a humidifier nearby, or setting the pot on a pebble tray with water. Ideal humidity levels are 40–60%.
Fertilize every 4–6 weeks during the growing season with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer. Ensure the soil has adequate magnesium (Epsom salt solutions can help).
