Near East 2nd Ring Road, Beijing,
Next to the Ming City Wall Ruins Park
It's only 15 minutes from the Forbidden City.
There are many high-rise buildings here, which can be said to be inch of land, inch of gold
I didn't expect it to be among the buildings
When I look up, I can see the lush green.
It's a sky garden on the top of the building!
A garden is built on the top of the building, and it is still on the edge of the imperial city.
Who is the owner of the garden?
The owner of the garden is Gao Jianfeng, who is just in his early 70s. He was born in agriculture. He is not only interested in flowers and plants, but also good at garden design. No wonder he can create a five story sky garden!
Mr. Gao likes the natural life state, so in his design works, there are always a large number of flowers and plants. With these models, he travels all over the country, goes to colleges and universities, forums and exhibitions, hoping that more people can accept this life concept.
When Mr. Gao retired, he finally had time to fulfill his dream. There was no yard at home, just a roof! Thinking of doing it, Miss Gao immediately drew a drawing:
The roof of Mr. Gao's house is an irregular slope. Although the total area is large, it turns East and turns West. The average person looks back, but it's not difficult for the master. With a few strokes, Mr. Gao completes the effect picture of the five story sky garden!
First floor: small balcony of the house
The first floor of the sky garden is the balcony with the original attic. The gardenia, Money Tree, emerald tree and red sandalwood planted by Mr. Gao are all here. Beijing is no longer reinforced concrete, but green.
There is a ladder on the first floor of the small balcony. Climbing up from this ladder is the second floor. All around the ladder are grapevines, only a hole is exposed for easy up and down. From this point of view, it's really different!
Second floor: Vineyard
Mr. Gao's vineyard, can be said to make full use of the advantages of the slope roof, in the southeast corner of the whole building, the light here is the best, most suitable for the growth of grapes
The location is good, the grapes are also competing. This grape tree, but the "old tree" raised by Gao family for decades, look at this old picture, you will know!
Miss Gao said that even her daughter grew up eating the grapes of this tree, which is full of memories!
Third floor: Rose Garden
The area of the third floor is not large or small. It's a bit awkward and narrow. Miss Gao has planted all kinds of roses here. Most of them are red old roses. They bloom frequently and have fewer insect diseases.
In addition to the rose, there are also some flower and fruit trees, jasmine, hibiscus, Jingtiansanqi, peach trees, Ardisia crenata and so on. These flowers can be eaten, made tea or used as medicine. Miss Gao is very careful.
The fourth floor: the entrance of Taoyuan
The fourth floor is a long and narrow "L" corridor, with several larger flowers, such as Chenopodium, yellow Chlamys, Chunlan and mirabilis, and a small Nanking cherry tree in the north. In addition to flowers and plants, it is the access to the core of the garden!
Standing on the fourth floor of the Internet, it's the play of the garden. Miss Gao specially built wooden stairs, and also made an arch, named "peach garden".
Although there are no ten li peach blossom in the peach garden, it's a real paradise in the busy city!
The fifth layer: the "paradise" in the air
When I got to the fourth floor, I couldn't wait to see Miss Gao's fifth floor. I heard that this is the core of the whole garden.
On the top floor is a rooftop garden, where you can enjoy tea, flowers and plants, as well as a panoramic view of the most central scenery in Beijing.
This floor has the largest area, not only flowers and grass, but also fruit trees and vines. Put on two sets of tables and chairs, usually take a rest here for a while, surpass the living immortal ~
In the Imperial City side can also be so leisurely, Mr. Gao's days do not know how many people envy, his sky garden also on Beijing TV, was a host boast!
If you see here, don't think that Mr. Gao is very idle. He has been very busy ever since he built this hanging garden. Besides planting flowers, he has also planted many dishes.
In addition to vegetables, there are many fruit trees, grapes, peaches, cherries, apples, orange trees, all of which must be carefully managed to bear fruit every year.
In this way, with hundreds of pots of plants and trees, Mr. Gao needs to have "three heads and six arms". Carefully asked, Mr. Gao smiled, he also installed the intelligent watering system, mobile phone operation watering, flowers are really eye opening ~
As long as you set the watering time on your mobile phone, you can control it remotely and water it on time. I can't see that Mr. Gao, who is in his 70s, is still a technology expert!
In addition to the advanced technology and equipment, Mr. Gao also made a skateboard for the bigger flower. It's easy to push and push. It's OK to run after the sun every day.
Mr. Gao's carefulness is not only in the cultivation of flowers and grass, but also in the safety of the roof garden. The stress points of each area should be fixed to the bearing wall to ensure that there is no risk
Of course, the dream of life needs to strive for, every morning, the sun through the flowers and leaves, this is the most gratifying moment for Miss Gao!
Among the flowers and grass, you can also see the ancient city building in the distance.
Tired of leisure, a family to the shade of a seat, tea and fruit, chat about home, the days on the flow between the flowers and birds.
Even if you live in a busy city, you can also attract a few ducks to build their nests and lay eggs during the migration.
The butterfly is also a frequent visitor in the garden. It flies to pick honey. The so-called "great hidden in the world" means this realm.
At last, although the roof garden is beautiful, there are still hidden dangers in the dense buildings around it. Mr. Gao's garden doesn't know how long it will last. I hope that such beautiful scenery can not only be enjoyed in pictures.
