1. Prepare potting soil: Prepare loose and fertile soil, for example, mix 80% of humus soil and 20% of coarse sand for planting, or buy ready-made special nutrient soil for seed bulbs.
2. Check the seed ball: Check whether the seed ball is moldy or rotten. If yes, cut off the problem area and dry the wound. If no problem, plant directly.
3. Planting seed bulbs: Five seed bulbs can be planted in a flowerpot with a diameter of 15 cm. When planting, the seed bulbs are placed on the soil surface with the roots downward and the buds upward, covered with soil with a thickness of 5 cm, and watered thoroughly.
4. Maintenance after planting: After planting, put it in a place with scattered light and ventilation, wait for the seed ball to germinate and increase the light to full sunlight, wait for the soil 3cm below the soil surface to dry, and carry the pot soil to feel obviously lighter and irrigate thoroughly.
5. Thin fertilizer and frequent application: After the first true leaf of the crocus is taken out, irrigate the crocus with balanced fertilizer water of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium every half a month. When the plant grows up, switch to phosphorus and potassium fertilizer until the crocuses blossom. Its flowering period can last for about two weeks.
